Every ranking, projection, and tool on Foundry traces back to transparent data sources. Here is what we ingest, how we treat it, and how to work with us.
Where our numbers come from
Foundry is built on the open nflverse data ecosystem — the same play-by-play, Next Gen Stats, snap counts, and Pro Football Reference advanced charting that powers serious football analysis. We pull multiple seasons of this data so every metric has historical context, not just a single-week snapshot.
Player identity, roster status, depth charts, and league settings come from the Sleeper platform, which lets us keep rosters current and connect your leagues directly to our tools.
On top of the raw feeds we layer expert consensus rankings, then reconcile everything against a single canonical player record so a traded or renamed player never fragments into duplicates.
How we treat the data
Raw sources are archived, normalized into analytical tables, and then compiled into stable "snapshot" artifacts that the site reads at request time. That means the rankings and analytics you see are reproducible and versioned rather than recomputed differently on every page load.
We are deliberate about what is a measured value versus a modeled estimate. Advanced metrics such as value over replacement, expected fantasy points, consistency, and strength of schedule are derived in our own models and labeled as analysis — not presented as official league statistics.
Licensing & attribution
nflverse data is community-maintained and used in accordance with its open license; Sleeper data powers account-connected features for the managers who link their leagues. Foundry is an independent analytics product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by the NFL, any NFL team, Sleeper, or Pro Football Reference.
